Feb. 12, 2013 – I so missed my friend, Sawyer today. She lost a foot feather (I still can’t figure out how) and Mom took her to our M.A.S.H. unit for the day. Good thing Mom caught it. What a gusher! I walked into the coop thinking we had been attacked. I immediately grabbed the rolling-pin that I keep in the back of my nesting box, and started shouting, “COME ON OUT, YOU COWARDS!!” It was then that I noticed Mom and Sawyer staring back at me with blank looks on their faces. I squeaked out a faint, “stand down”, put my rolling-pin away, and left the coop. Sawyer is back now. Her foot is all set. She bumped me at the food dispenser. “Thanks for the rolling-pin today”, she said. I just nodded and bumped her back.
