Feb. 13, 2013 – What a glorious day! I was awoken by the sun which stayed out all morning and afternoon! Sawyer, Peaches, and I worked with the pullets on making our Valentines for the big exchange tomorrow. I can’t wait! On a more serious note – I had an itch on my back that would not quit. It was a frustrating half-a-beak distance from reach. I was thrilled when I came upon a perfectly heighted stub of a branch in the yard and immediately set upon shimmying myself all over it. It felt so good to finally have relief from the itchiness that I roared out in my exuberance, “Oh, yah baby! That’s the spot!” I have no idea why this would have caused any ruffled feathers among the others, but I got the stink eye from Wilma and Emaline as they walked by. Note to self… no Valentine’s Day cards for those two.
