Feb. 25, 2013 – I slept in this morning for the first time in my life! I was so tired, and so out of it that I think I laid an egg in my sleep. (At least I hope that was an egg!) Sawyer, Wilma and I stayed up late last night to watch the Academy Awards. Charlotte told us that the Aflac duck was going to win a Best Actor Oscar for the barnyard scene in Argo. I’ll admit that I didn’t see that movie, but we wanted to cheer on a fellow fowl – especially one of stage and screen. I never made it to the end of the program. I have no idea if Aflac won, or the tiger from The Life of Pi. I’m not meant for such extravaganza unless it’s of my own making. I woke up sleepy-eyed a few minutes ago to a wing-feather encased in a bucket of popcorn and Wilma and Sawyer singing an Adele song at the top of their lungs. A walk on the snow path is definitely on my list of to-dos for the day. I need to clear this head.
