Mar. 9, 2013 – Sawyer decided to make a treat of cinnamon rolls for us today in the little Easy Bake Oven that we keep in our coop. As she peeled the wrapper off the cardboard tube of uncooked pastry, it suddenly split open in a furious bang that reverberated off the walls, sending a wad of wet dough catapulting into the back of my head. Feeling dazed and confused by the sudden impact, I reached back and felt the glob of goo stuck to my noggin. In that moment I was thoroughly convinced that Wilma had exploded. I fainted and hit my forehead on my nesting box. I now sport quite the goose egg. On the upside, the rolls were delicious.
