Mar. 12, 2013 – The weather this week has been so pleasant, that today I grabbed a book and settled into a nice quiet spot in our run. The title of the book is called, Finding Your Inner Hen, by Prudence B. Layer. Some of what she writes is hokey, but much of it makes sense, I guess. For instance, she suggests ridding your mind of chatter and noise in order to “assume an attitude of peace and tranquility prior to the expulsion of your daily egg”. I suppose I could slow down and “experience the experience”, but I’d much rather drop and go. I’ve got a bucket list to knock off. So, I tossed the book to Sawyer, (who is much more philosophical than I), strapped a colander on my head and set out in search of aliens. Now that’s a subject I’d read about!
