Mar. 19, 2013 – Sawyer, Wilma and I stayed inside today, choosing a healthy game of cards over a snowy tromp in our run. We had a great day reminiscing over stories long forgotten. We snacked on carrot peels and meal worms over a cup of warm pine needle tea. They teased me about yesterday and how good my hearing is. I can distinguish between any clanging metal and the lid of a galvanized treat bucket in less than a second. The three of us were ranging just before the storm moved in, when Mom came out with the bucket. Before Wilma and Sawyer could process what was happening, I was already standing in front of Mom with my beak open. We’re still laughing about it.
