Apr. 9, 2013 – I couldn’t find Sawyer today and I was sad. We were hanging out in the yard going to town on a bevy of springtime dirt dwellers: slugs, bugs, worms – the works! I guess I was preoccupied in the excitement of it all and lost track of my best friend. I asked Wilma if she saw which way Sawyer headed, but I was reminded that she is not Sawyer’s keeper, and that I should keep looking. I was so lonely without her – worried that something terrible had happened, and all because I myself was lost in a smorgasbord of garden delights. I was frantic until I looked under a bush and found her taking a dirt bath. That was the longest five minutes of my life!
