May 7, 2013– Chowdah, our family’s basset hound, stopped by the chicken yard today for a visit. He was on his leash since Mom had just taken him for a walk. We knew that he was on his way to see us because his tail was wagging to beat the band. We always have a great chat when we’re together. Today, he was telling us another hilarious story about what goes on inside the house. Mom was attempting the Viennese Waltz in the living room – pretending that she was on Dancing with the Stars, until she fell over the hassock and landed on her keister. We were having a belly laugh over that one, when Chowdah – as dogs are known to do, inadvertently belched in Wilma’s face. I almost wet my feathers! He didn’t mean it, but Wilma walked off in a huff. What a hoot!
