July 1, 2013– I’d like to learn how to play the banjo. There is a humble beauty to its sound that touches my heart; a lively thump-and-release rhythm that gets my feet tapping and my shoulders all a shimmy every time I hear it. I LOVE dancing to banjo music! The banjo is “plunky”, which is how I see myself… in a scientific, mystical tea-reading, crime-solving, emergency preparedness leader among chickens sort of way. Ehhh! Definitions are too restricting! I’m a chicken who loves life! I just need to figure out if having fingers is a prerequisite for banjo picking.
