July 8, 2013– I headed out on a stroll around the yard this morning after breakfast, taking advantage of cooler air that had temporarily settled in. It was wonderful to move about without breaking a sweat. I was walking by Mom’s office window when the phone on her desk began to ring. I peeked in, but didn’t see her anywhere in sight, so I decided to answer the phone for her. I carefully lifted the screen, reached in and grabbed the headset. “Mmmyellow…!” I announced cheerfully to whoever was listening at the other end. I received no greeting in return. The voice didn’t even ask my name, and yet somehow, she had “very exciting news” for me. Yes indeed, she was right! I won a two week-stay at something called a “timeshare opportunity” in Montana! I don’t even know where or what “Montana” is, but I am thrilled to have won. I get to take three friends along with me! I’m going to ask Wilma, Peaches and I just now asked Sawyer. She’s on the computer looking up everything there is to know about “Montana”. All we need to do is get ourselves there and the rest is free! It’s probably not a long walk from New Hampshire, but I should pack us a couple of travel sandwiches just in case. Talk about my lucky day! Wait until I tell Mom!
