August 5, 2013 – The air was so chilly this morning, that it could have easily been a day in mid-September. I was about to grab Sawyer and Peaches and head out to do a bit of back-to-school shopping until I remembered that chickens don’t go to school, unless you count Pullet Camp, and pullets don’t wear clothes. So instead, we went online and each bought ourselves a fancy pair of high heel shoes. The other two will most likely try to wear them around the chicken yard until one of them breaks their neck. I’m saving my pair to wear over my woolly mittens. I think they’ll make exquisite ice picks when the snow comes around and I’m off once more exploring the frozen tundra of our yard in my snorkel jacket.
