August 27, 2013 – School is in the air! Tomorrow, Sawyer and I welcome our newest class of lovely youngsters to “Pullet Camp”. Dottie, Maisy, Kellie Pickler, and Dolly Parton could hardly sleep tonight, so excited and anxious about camp. My first order of business is to set their minds at ease and remind them that we are a family no matter what… even if someone accidentally glues her flockmate to her seat, (Waffles) or spins the globe off its axis hitting the teacher in the head, (Betty) or pretends that she’s about to lay an egg at nine weeks old just to get out of math class, (Hattie). I have high hopes for this year’s girls. They are so bright and well-mannered. I hope they like the first class we’ve put together, “Eat This, Not That”. I’m so excited, I myself, may have trouble sleeping! Ring that bell, baby! School is officially in session!
