August 28, 2013 – The first day of pullet camp has successfully come and gone. The girls are a delight! This is going to be a wonderful year. I can’t wait until the first winter storm arrives so I can show them a snowflake under a microscope. I made the mistake of voicing that opinion out loud and a disgruntled Wilma gave me a good peck on the back of the head. She’s a sore sport when it comes to winter. “We’re stuck inside when it snows and you three stink to high heaven!” she said, referring to me, Sawyer and Tim. Evidently, she’s never been downwind of herself. No matter. It was such a wonderful day that Sawyer and I invited Wilma to join us for a movie. We saw, “With Eight You Get an Ostrich Egg”. It was a hoot! I’m off to bed now. I suddenly can’t keep my eyes open.
