4-5 lb chuck roast
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 medium yellow onion, quartered
1 stalk of celery, cut up
1/2 bag of carrots cut into manageable chunks (or baby carrots)
1 Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning Packet
1 McCormick Slow Cooker Pot Roast Packet
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 cans of beer (or beef broth)
Trim roast of excess fat. Place in a slow cooker. Sprinkle roast evenly with Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix and McCormick Slow Cooker Pot Roast Packet. Top with chopped garlic and onion quarters, celery and carrots. Combine Worcestershire sauce and beer and pour over roast to a depth of ½ inch liquid in bottom of cooker. Add more beer, if necessary. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until beef is fork tender.
Serve with your choice of mashed potatoes, egg noodles, steamed rice – or anything else you like!
