March 4, 2014 – Wilma wanted to take a walk in the woods to check on the brewery site while at the same time, getting in a smidge of exercise. It was brisk this morning. Actually, it was colder than a penguin’s kiss! – not that I’ve actually ever kissed a penguin.
To bundle up, Wilma wrapped herself in a dense pullover sweater that smelled liked old rain and dirt. It was not the most attractive look, but as long as it kept her warm, what did it matter. Sawyer handed her a potholder hat as she walked out the door to meet up with Betty and Hattie. They had begged her to tag along and Wilma ultimately relented. After all, the radio host this morning said to, “March Forth” – and so she would.
I think those two actually believe that Wilma is a queen who needs to be impressed. This would explain why Hattie bowed at the waist and swept her wing to the side as she proclaimed, “After you, your Highness”. The funniest was Betty. She took one look at Wilma’s ratty sweater and stained potholder bonnet and pronounced, “That outfit… why that’s as sexy as socks on a rooster!”
Sawyer and I are still laughing. Tim meanwhile, has gone in search of knee-high leggings.
