November 25, 2014 – Today I enjoyed the great outdoors. I tried to cover every bit of our yard before it all gets covered up in snow tomorrow. Tim thought that we should stand in protest against the coming storm by grilling ears of corn over the fire pit. He’s a bantam, so deep snow freaks him out. He doesn’t see the beauty of a single snowflake like I do, but I wasn’t going to pass on an opportunity to have an impromptu barbecue. The corn was DELICIOUS! I can still taste the butter and salt on my beak. I’m going to think of that corn when I’m stuck in the coop on sub-zero days. Oooh, maybe I should order myself a smokeless hibachi! Then I can grill on the back steps of our run any day of the year!
Got to go. This is the most brilliant idea I’ve had all week. I need to locate one before the Internet gets bogged down with Black Friday shoppers!
